Your 2026 Front Range Farmers Market Guide: From Castle Rock to Berthoud

Eighteen markets, six counties, and one really good reason to set an alarm on a Saturday.

By The LGSGroup Team & Lidia Suarez  |  Denver Front Range Living

There's a version of every Front Range town that only shows up on a Saturday morning — folding tables, peach crates, a guitar player near the coffee stand, neighbors who actually stop to talk. If you want to know what a community really feels like, skip the brochure and go to its farmers market.

One of my favorite things about calling the Front Range home is how every neighborhood — from the rolling foothills above Golden to the open farmland edging Berthoud — has built its own weekend ritual around fresh, local food. As a third-generation Denver native, I've watched these markets grow from small produce stands into full-blown community gatherings with live music, food trucks, and a genuine small-town feel, even in our fastest-growing suburbs.

Whether you're a longtime local, new to the area, or considering a move to one of the communities I work in every day, farmers markets are one of the best ways to actually feel a neighborhood — its pace, its people, the pride locals take in where they live. So I put together this guide covering the entire corridor I serve, from Castle Rock all the way up to Berthoud, organized south to north so you can plan your route.

Two markets on this list are worth circling on your calendar before we even get started:

Don't Miss

Boulder Farmers Market

The granddaddy of Front Range markets — 60+ vendors, live music, and a season that runs nearly eight months long. Come hungry and plan to stay longer than you intended.

Small Town Charm

The Berthoud Market

Free weekly kids' crafts, a Market Passport program, and live music every Saturday morning. Worth the drive up Highway 287 just for the atmosphere.

Castle Rock: Two Markets, One Weekend

Castle Rock actually runs two markets, so you've got options depending on which day works for your weekend.

Festival Park Farmers' Market sets up right in the heart of downtown at 300 2nd Street, Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., May 24 through October 11. Nearly 40–45 vendors bring locally raised meats, farm-fresh eggs, Western Slope fruit, baked goods, and artisan crafts — it's an easy walk from the shops along Wilcox Street, so plan to make a morning of it.

The Original Castle Rock Farmers Market, now in its fourth decade serving Douglas County, runs Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon, June 20 through October 3, at the Douglas County Fairgrounds (500 Fairgrounds Drive). This one keeps its focus tightly on food — produce, meats, baked goods, mushrooms, microgreens, and specialty pantry items from local growers.

Highlands Ranch Keeps It Simple

The Highlands Ranch Farmers' Market runs Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., May 3 through November 1, at the Town Center (9288 Dorchester Street). With 30+ vendors and one of the longest seasons on this list, it accepts SNAP/EBT and makes for an easy stop if you're already running Town Center errands.

Littleton's Three-Day Spread

Littleton homeowners have three solid options spread across the week. The Southwest Plaza Farmers' Market runs Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or sellout), May 2 through October 31, at Wadsworth and Bowles (8501 W. Bowles Avenue). The Aspen Grove Farmers' Market is a nice Friday alternative if weekends are already packed — 20+ vendors, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., June 5 through September 25, at 7301 South Santa Fe Drive. And Sterling Ranch runs Wednesdays, 3–7 p.m. or sellout, June 24 through October 14, at Providence Park.

Lakewood & Golden, Side by Side

The Lakewood Farmer's Market sets up at Mile Hi Church (9077 West Alameda Avenue) Saturdays, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. (or sellout), June 13 through October 3.

Up in Golden, the Golden Farmers' Market runs Saturdays, 8 a.m.–1 p.m., from late May through early October, near the Golden Library at 10th & Illinois (closed July 26 for Buffalo Bill Days). There's also a Golden Midweek Market on Wednesdays, 3–6 p.m., June 10 through July 29, at Golden High School.

Worth the Drive: Denver's Big Five

The full Denver list could fill its own post, but a handful are worth flagging if you're exploring the metro core. City Park Farmers Market is one of the biggest in the city — 100+ vendors and live music, Saturdays 8 a.m.–1 p.m., May through October. Cherry Creek Fresh Market runs Saturdays with free validated parking. South Pearl Street and Highlands Farmers Market both run Sundays, and Union Station's weekend market keeps unusually long hours, noon to 6 p.m., right through late October.

Arvada's Olde Town Tradition

The Arvada Farmers' Market is a genuinely lively scene with 50+ vendors right in historic Olde Town Square (5702 Olde Wadsworth Boulevard), Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., June 7 through September 27. Easy to pair with breakfast at one of the surrounding cafés before you shop.

Westminster's Double Market Weekend

Westminster residents are spoiled with two markets running on different days. The Westminster Farmers Market runs Saturdays, 9 a.m.–1:30 p.m., June 6 through September 26, at 98th & Sheridan. The Orchard Farmers Market runs Sundays, 9 a.m.–2 p.m., June 7 through September 27, in the Macy's parking lot at Orchard Town Center (14535 Delaware Street) — easy to pair with a full Sunday outing among the surrounding shops and restaurants.

Westminster's Weekend Double-Header

Most Front Range cities get one farmers market. Westminster gets two — Saturday at 98th & Sheridan, Sunday at Orchard Town Center, just minutes apart. Whichever day fits your schedule, you're covered.

Broomfield's Midweek Escape

The Broomfield Farmers' Market at Holy Comforter (1700 W. 10th Avenue) offers a relaxed midweek option — Tuesdays, 4–7 p.m., June through September. A great choice if your weekends are already full of soccer games and showings.

Thornton After Hours

People + Produce at Carpenter Park Fields (11000 Colorado Boulevard) is built for the after-work crowd — select Thursday evenings, 5–8 p.m., twice monthly through the fall, with local makers, music, and a Farm Bar that opens right at 5. Free on-site parking makes it an easy stop on the way home.

Thornton also runs Healthy Farmers Markets, a community-access program at Carpenter Recreation Center offering produce vouchers for SNAP, WIC, Medicaid, and senior households — a wonderful resource if you know a neighbor who could use it.

Northglenn's Backyard Advantage

Northglenn doesn't currently host its own large standalone weekly market, but residents are just minutes from three excellent options — Westminster and Orchard to the west, Broomfield to the south, and Thornton's People + Produce to the east. You're never far from fresh, local produce here.

Boulder, Louisville, Lafayette & Erie

This stretch of the corridor is anchored by Boulder County Farmers Markets, one of the most respected farm-direct market organizations in the state. The flagship Boulder Farmers Market runs Saturdays, 8 a.m.–2 p.m., April 4 through November 21, at 13th Street & Canyon Boulevard (no pets allowed), with a Wednesday evening market, 3:30–7:30 p.m., May through October.

Just down the road, the Louisville Farmers' Market runs Saturdays, 9 a.m.–1 p.m., May 9 through October 10, at 824 Front Street. The Lafayette Farmers Market is a growers-only market — meaning everything sold was actually grown or made by the vendor — running Sundays, 9 a.m.–1 p.m., May 3 through October 25. And the Erie Farmers' Market runs Thursdays, 5–8 p.m., May 7 through September 17.

Longmont's Eight-Month Season

The Longmont Farmers Market, also part of the Boulder County Farmers Markets family, runs Saturdays, 8 a.m.–1 p.m., April 4 through November 21, at the Boulder County Fairgrounds (9595 Nelson Road). With 60+ vendors and one of the longest seasons on the entire Front Range, it's a destination market worth the drive on its own.

Loveland, Twice a Week

The City of Loveland Farmers Market consistently ranks among the state's best — Sundays, 9 a.m.–1 p.m., June 7 through September 27, at Fairgrounds Park (700 S. Railroad Avenue). It accepts SNAP/EBT and participates in Double Up Food Bucks, matching up to $20 a week in benefits for Colorado-grown produce.

For a midweek option, the Loveland West Farmers Market at Jax runs Tuesdays, 9 a.m.–1 p.m., April 21 through November 3 — one of the longest seasons on this entire list.

Berthoud: Small-Town Saturdays

The Berthoud Market at Town Park (200 N. 7th Street) is small-town Colorado at its best. Saturdays, 9 a.m.–1 p.m., June 13 through September 26 (no market July 4 or September 5). Beyond the usual produce and artisan booths, the market runs a free weekly kids' craft activity with the Wildfire Arts Center and a "Market Passport" program where the first 50 households each season can collect stamps toward Berthoud Market Bucks. Live music plays throughout the morning — it's worth the drive up Highway 287 just for the atmosphere.

A note from Lidia

I've spent nearly two decades helping families find their place on the Front Range, and farmers markets come up more often in those conversations than you'd think. People will tell me they want good schools, or a shorter commute, or a bigger yard — and then, almost as an afterthought, they'll mention that they loved the energy at the Saturday market when they visited a neighborhood. That's never really an afterthought. It's usually the thing that made the place feel like somewhere they could actually live.

If you're at that stage — even just starting to ask the questions — I'm happy to have that conversation. The Front Range is a big place, and the right neighborhood depends entirely on your life, your priorities, and what you're building toward. That's worth discussing with someone who knows this market deeply.
