Colorado’s stunning Front Range — there’s no place quite like home.

There’s a reason people fall in love with the Denver Front Range, and it goes far beyond the 300 days of sunshine and those jaw-dropping mountain views. This is a place where homeowners, buyers, and design lovers can immerse themselves in an incredible community of people who share a genuine passion for how we live. From massive home expos buzzing with the latest renovation ideas to intimate garden tours where you can peek behind a neighbor’s fence and discover a hidden urban oasis, the Front Range home and living scene is vibrant, welcoming, and full of inspiration.

Whether you’re a first-time buyer daydreaming about your future kitchen, a homeowner planning a long-overdue remodel, or someone who simply loves walking through beautiful houses and imagining the possibilities, there’s something on this list for you. I’ve put together this curated guide covering home shows, home tours, garden events, architecture walks, and green building showcases happening from spring through fall 2026 — the events that I’m most excited about and that I think you’ll love, too.

A quick note: a few of the earlier spring events have already passed, but I’ve included them here so you can mark your calendar for 2027. These annual favorites always come back, and planning ahead means you won’t miss out next year. Let’s dive in!

🏗️ Home Shows & Expos

Home shows are the ultimate one-stop shop for anyone who lives, breathes, and dreams about home improvement. Under one roof, you’ll find hundreds of vendors, live demos, expert advice, and enough design inspiration to fill a whole Pinterest board — plus the chance to meet local contractors and builders face-to-face.

Home shows bring together hundreds of vendors and thousands of ideas under one roof.

1. HBA Builder Product Expo

Date: April 14, 2026  |  Location: Metro Denver (HBA venue)  |  Cost: Industry event

Hosted by the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver, the HBA Builder Product Expo is a professional trade show where associate members showcase the latest products and services to local builders and remodelers. If you work in the building trades — or you’re thinking about getting into them — this is a fantastic networking opportunity. You’ll see cutting-edge materials, new construction technologies, and the products that Denver’s top builders are specifying right now. While this one is geared toward industry professionals rather than the general public, it’s worth knowing about if you have connections in the building world.

2. Colorado Fall Home Show

Date: September 11–13, 2026  |  Location: Colorado Convention Center, Denver  |  Cost: Adults $10, Seniors $8, Kids free

With over 20,000 attendees and more than 200 vendors, the Colorado Fall Home Show is one of the biggest and best home events on the Front Range. This is the place to explore everything from kitchen cabinetry to outdoor living spaces, smart home technology to flooring — all while chatting directly with the companies and craftspeople behind the products. I especially love that they designate Hero Day on Saturday with free admission for military members, veterans, and first responders, plus Teacher Day on Sunday. If you’re planning any kind of renovation or just want to see what’s trending for 2027, put this one on your calendar now. The Colorado Convention Center location makes it easy to access from anywhere in the metro.

3. Denver Home & Remodeling Expo

Date: October 16–18, 2026  |  Location: National Western Center – North Hall, 4850 National Western Dr, Denver  |  Cost: FREE

Here’s a rare find: a quality home expo with completely free admission. The Denver Home & Remodeling Expo, organized by Nationwide Expos, brings together contractors, designers, and remodelers all under one roof at the National Western Center. You’ll experience live demonstrations, get expert advice, and find exclusive show-only offers on products and services. Hours are Friday 12–6pm, Saturday 10am–5pm, and Sunday 11am–4pm, so there’s plenty of flexibility to fit it into your weekend. This is an especially great option if you’ve been putting off a home project because you didn’t know where to start — come browse, ask questions, and leave with a plan (and maybe a contractor’s card in your pocket).

📅 Earlier This Year — Mark These for 2027!Colorado Garden & Home Show (February 14–22, 2026) — This beloved multi-day event at the Colorado Convention Center is one of the region’s longest-running home and garden shows. It already happened this year, but it returns every February. Definitely one to plan for next year.Denver Home Show (March 27–29, 2026) — Another annual favorite held at the National Western Center, featuring hundreds of exhibitors and tons of hands-on workshops. Watch for 2027 dates later this fall.

🏠 Home Tours — Step Inside Denver’s Most Beautiful Homes

There’s nothing quite like walking through a real home — feeling the flow of a floor plan, admiring the finish work up close, and stealing design ideas you can bring back to your own space. These home tours let you do exactly that, from historic gems in Denver’s beloved neighborhoods to brand-new luxury construction.

Denver’s Highland neighborhood is home to some of the city’s most distinctive and beautiful architecture.

4. Jewels of Highlands Home Tour

Date: Saturday, June 6, 2026, 12–4pm  |  Location: Berkeley neighborhood, North Denver  |  Cost: Tickets available online

If you love Denver neighborhoods with character, the Jewels of Highlands Home Tour is an absolute must. Founded in 1995 and organized by Nostalgic Homes, this beloved Denver tradition is a self-guided tour celebrating the distinct architecture, design, and lifestyles of North Denver’s most beautiful homes. Each year, a curated selection of residences in the Berkeley and Highlands neighborhoods open their doors so you can wander through and soak in everything from lovingly restored Victorians to sleek modern remodels. Proceeds benefit North High School, which makes the afternoon feel even better. It’s also a wonderful way to explore the Highlands and Berkeley neighborhoods on foot — you might just fall in love with the area and start looking for your own place there.

5. Luxury Home Tour Colorado

Date: Monthly, April through September 2026 (April 2, May 7, June 4, July 9, August 6, September 3)  |  Location: Denver Metro area  |  Cost: $15 for members

For those who love high-end design and architecture, the Luxury Home Tour Colorado offers an extraordinary chance to step inside stunning homes in the $2M–$3.5M range. These monthly tours — running April through September — feature properties in some of the metro’s most prestigious communities, including Cherry Hills Village and Greenwood Village. With over 200 members, this organization brings together luxury buyers, agents, and design enthusiasts for tours that also feature industry speakers and networking. Whether you’re actively shopping in the luxury market or just love seeing how the other half lives (no judgment — I do too!), these tours offer incredible inspiration and insight into what’s being built and designed at the highest level along the Front Range.

6. Denver Parade of Homes

Date: Expected August 2026  |  Location: Multiple communities across Metro Denver  |  Cost: Check HBA website for details

This is THE premier home tour event in Denver — and if you only attend one event on this entire list, make it the Parade of Homes. Organized by the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver, this multi-week showcase features brand-new construction homes across the metro, giving you an unfiltered look at what Denver’s top builders are creating right now. In recent years, homes have ranged from approximately $900K to $2.6M+, featuring work by acclaimed builders like McStain, Markel, Boulder Creek, Cardel, and Reed Custom. The event includes People’s Choice Awards (so you can vote for your favorite!), and both virtual and in-person touring options for flexibility. For buyers, it’s an unbeatable way to compare builders, floor plans, finishes, and neighborhoods all in one event. For everyone else, it’s simply a fun and inspiring way to spend a weekend.

💡 Tip from Lidia – Attending the Parade of Homes or Luxury Home Tour? Bring a notebook and snap photos (where permitted) of finishes, layouts, and details you love. When it’s time to build or remodel your own home, these real-world references are worth more than any Pinterest board!

🌿 Garden Shows & Tours

Denver’s gardening community is one of the most passionate and creative I’ve ever seen — which makes sense, given the unique challenges and rewards of growing things in Colorado’s high-altitude, semi-arid climate. These events celebrate what’s possible when green thumbs meet the Front Range landscape.

Denver Botanic Gardens offers year-round beauty and a packed calendar of events.

This self-guided walking tour through North Boulder’s private gardens and homesteads is pure “edutainment” — you’ll learn while you explore, and you’ll leave bursting with ideas. Now in its 22nd year, the tour showcases an incredible range of gardening approaches, from native plant landscapes and pollinator habitats to backyard vegetable gardens, herb patches, fruit trees, mushroom beds, and even rooftop gardens. Along the way, you’ll encounter demonstrations and displays on topics like beekeeping, seed banks, soil health, and backyard birds. It’s perfect for green thumbs of all experience levels and especially valuable for anyone wanting to understand what truly thrives in Colorado’s unique climate. All proceeds benefit Garden to Table, a nonprofit dedicated to food education.

🏛️ Architecture & Design Events

Denver has a rich and layered architectural heritage — from the ornate Victorian homes of Capitol Hill to the sleek modern builds popping up in RiNo and beyond. These events give you the rare chance to look behind the facades, walk through spaces you’d normally never access, and hear the stories buildings have to tell.

9. USGBC ADAPT 2026

Date: May 11–13, 2026  |  Location: Denver Art Museum  |  Cost: Check USGBC website for registration details

Hosted by the U.S. Green Building Council at the architecturally stunning Denver Art Museum, ADAPT 2026 is where sustainability meets design innovation. This multi-day conference brings together architects, builders, policymakers, and sustainability advocates to explore the future of the built environment. Sessions cover green building practices, climate resilience, energy performance, and more. Even if you’re not a building professional, this event is fascinating for anyone who cares about how our homes and cities can be designed to work better for people and the planet. The venue itself — Daniel Libeskind’s striking Frederic C. Hamilton Building — is worth the visit alone.

10. Doors Open Denver

Date: September 24–27, 2026  |  Location: Downtown Denver and surrounding areas  |  Cost: FREE

If you haven’t experienced Doors Open Denver, you are in for a treat. Organized by the Denver Architecture Foundation, this multi-day architecture festival celebrates the theme “Destination Downtown” for 2026, honoring Colorado’s 150th anniversary. The concept is simple and brilliant: more than 40 sites across the city open their doors to the public, offering behind-the-scenes access to places you’d normally never get to see. We’re talking about architecture firms like OZ, HOK, and Tryba; historic landmarks; museums; the Governor’s Residence at Boettcher Mansion; Larimer Square; and buildings along the iconic 16th Street corridor. Both guided and self-guided tours are available, and the whole thing is completely free. This is genuinely one of Denver’s most unique and underrated events — you literally walk into buildings that are normally off-limits and discover the stories, craftsmanship, and design behind them.

11. Historic Denver Walking Tours

Date: Ongoing, spring through fall 2026  |  Location: Various Denver neighborhoods  |  Cost: $11–$30

Here’s a tip I always share with my clients who are exploring different Denver neighborhoods: take a Historic Denver Walking Tour first. These guided walks cover some of the city’s most storied areas — LoDo, the Capitol Hill mansions, Larimer Square, Potter Highlands, the Baker neighborhood, 17th Street (known as the “Wall Street of the West”), and even combo tours with the Molly Brown House. You’ll learn the history and character of each neighborhood while getting fresh air and exercise. For homebuyers, these tours are invaluable — there’s no better way to understand the personality of a neighborhood than to walk its streets with a knowledgeable guide telling you the stories behind every block. Prices range from $11 to $30, making them an affordable weekend outing for individuals, couples, or families.

12. Denver Architecture Foundation Walking Tours & Lectures

Date: Ongoing, 2026  |  Location: Various Denver locations  |  Cost: Varies

For true architecture enthusiasts, the Denver Architecture Foundation offers a deeper dive with specialized walking tours and lectures throughout the year. Highlights include the Allen Tupper True Murals Walking Tour, which explores the stunning public art integrated into Denver’s historic buildings, and the South High School Walking Tour, which takes you through one of Denver’s most impressive school buildings. On the lecture side, keep an eye out for “Architecture as Adventure: In Conversation with Tom Kundig” at the Denver Art Museum — a chance to hear from one of the most acclaimed architects working today. These events are perfect for anyone who sees buildings not just as structures, but as stories.

🌱 Green & Sustainable Home Events

Colorado has long been at the forefront of sustainable building, and the Front Range is home to some of the most innovative green construction in the country. If you’re curious about energy-efficient homes, solar power, Passive House design, or simply building in a way that’s kinder to our beautiful Colorado environment, these events are for you.

Colorado’s abundant sunshine makes solar-powered homes a natural fit for the Front Range.

13. CGBG Green Home Tour

The Colorado Green Building Guild’s annual Green Home Tour is one of the most eye-opening events on this list. This self-guided tour takes you inside sustainable homes throughout Boulder County, showcasing real examples of Passive House certified construction, natural building materials, and all-electric home design. You’ll tour both new builds and remodels, seeing firsthand how homeowners and builders are pushing the boundaries of energy efficiency and environmental responsibility. Each home comes with a digital booklet that includes product specifications and performance metrics — so you’re not just admiring these homes, you’re learning exactly how they were built and how they perform. After the tour, stick around for the happy hour after-party to chat with builders and fellow green-home enthusiasts. This is a must-attend for eco-conscious buyers or any homeowner curious about energy-efficient upgrades.
